The Marketing Intern will work on a variety of projects in various stages. You may be working on print and online marketing campaigns, or researching new marketing initiatives. You could be engaging our social media audience, or helping plan our next kick-ass event. You’ll have the opportunity to put your creativity and sharpness into existing marketing projects, as well as lead us in new directions!
Manage social media efforts
Assist in the creation of e-newsletters, online promotion, etc.
Assist in the distribution or delivery of marketing materials
Assist with fulfillment of marketing offers/online orders
Assist with production and execution of trade shows, events and partnerships
Day-to-day office tasks and data entry
You must have a background in Marketing, as well as excellent verbal and written communication skills, with extensive knowledge of Web and social media. Photoshop and videography experience is a bonus. Regular on-site attendance is necessary, in addition to occasional after work event hours. This is an unpaid internship, but class credit can be provided.

Researching topics / story ideas
Writing front-of-book product call-outs, reviews
Writing supplemental copy — TOC, captions, titles
Fact-checking and copy-editing
Helping to find blogs and other media outlets/resources that might be helpful
Posting online blogs for all three publications
Assisting in proofing process
Opportunity to write longer stories and/or features
Help gathering hi-res imagery
Day-to-day office tasks, including processing mailing and data entry
Must have a background in Journalism/English, and an interest in innovation and creativity. Knowledge of design and music is preferred. This is an unpaid internship, but class credit can be given. Mission for Account Manager Trainee:
To learn how to prospect, network and become a reputable brand ambassador for Design Bureau magazine. To offer excellent customer service to clients while meeting their expectations.
The program is an introduction to the Account Manager position for Design Bureau magazine. In the role, you will learn how to make connections in a vastly design-related world. Learn how to discover editorially relevant projects and build leads from their participating companies.
The position is designed to be a part-time, eight-week, paid training program for individuals with an eager to grow and learn the process of account management. By demonstrating our company core values and a passion for the brand, there is the potential for a full-time offer to be made.
